University of Zagreb Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology, actively participates in international academic cooperation and warmly welcomes international students through various mobility programs and international agreements.

Students are offered opportunities to participate in exchange programs, internships, and to carry out their Bachelor’s or Master’s theses in a stimulating teaching and research environment.

Mobility is available through programs such as Erasmus+, CEEPUS, as well as through other bilateral or institutional agreements. Incoming students can enroll in courses taught in English and participate in research activities within the Faculty’s laboratories and research groups.

Students may undertake mobility during the winter or summer semester, depending on course availability and agreement with their home institution.

Application Procedure – General Guidelines

All students interested in studying at our Faculty should first consult their home institution regarding mobility opportunities and verify whether an agreement exists with our Faculty or the University of Zagreb.

Erasmus+ Student Mobility for Studies – How to Apply

Incoming ERASMUS+ students are required to follow to the official application procedure established by the University of Zagreb.

The procedure includes:

Nomination by the home institution
Completion of the University of Zagreb online application
Preparation and approval of the Learning Agreement with the ECTS coordinator
Selection of courses taught in English in accordance with the study programme

Students are advised to review the course catalogue in advance and consult the Faculty if necessary before preparing the Learning Agreement.

Erasmus+ Student Mobility for Traineeships – How to Apply

Students applying for an Erasmus+ traineeship are advised to contact a potential supervisor directly.

Guidelines on how to find an internship placement are available on the Faculty website.

Incoming mobility students are strongly encouraged to proactively prepare for their academic stay. Before arrival, students should explore available research topics and identify laboratories that align with their academic interests. Early coordination with a host supervisor is considered an important step toward ensuring a well-structured and successful mobility experience.
