An international scientific and sports competition that brings together students from engineering and technological faculties and promotes a long-standing tradition of achieving sporting and scientific excellence.
Find out moreFFTB is a place where science, social impact, and concrete applications of knowledge connect. Students develop skills in the fields of food technology, biotechnology, and nutrition, and it is this combination that opens up wide opportunities in the job market.
The faculty encourages scientific excellence, interdisciplinarity and connections with the real sector. We learn through practice, research and collaboration with industry, but also through an open relationship between students and teachers. Studying at FFTB provides the foundation for a career, but also for contributing to solving social and environmental challenges.
FFTB offers undergraduate and graduate university studies, as well as postgraduate specialist and doctoral studies. The programs are aligned with European standards and enable the development of expertise through theoretical teaching, laboratory work, projects and professional practice.
The study fosters scientific thinking and an ethical approach to the profession, and students have the opportunity to engage in research and collaborate with industrial and development institutions.
Details about each program, including implementation plans and employment opportunities, are available on the corresponding pages.
Research and collaboration with industry are an important part of FFTB's identity. The faculty participates in numerous national and international projects and develops innovative solutions applicable in the food, biotechnology and healthcare sectors.
Students are actively involved in research activities and gain experience already during their studies. Work through centers of excellence, laboratories and expert teams contributes to the development of sustainable technologies and strengthening the role of science in society.
Our mission is to connect knowledge with practice and create space for innovation.
The Faculty participates in numerous scientific and professional projects financed from various sources, including EU funds, industrial collaborations and domestic tenders. The projects cover topics in food technology, biotechnology and nutrition, and connect science and society through the development of new products and services.
At FFTB, science is not confined to laboratories. Through various activities, we strive to bring research closer to the general public and show how important food technology, biotechnology and nutrition are for everyday life. We organize workshops for children, lectures, science coffees and public appearances at events such as the University Fair and Science Week.
Through conferences, workshops and lectures, we encourage the exchange of knowledge and ideas, connecting researchers and industry, and presenting new scientific findings. Students also participate and contribute through their own papers and discussions.
FFTB students have the opportunity to develop in a stimulating and practically oriented environment. From the first year, they are involved in laboratory work, project assignments and direct communication with teachers. Through participation in research, professional internships and international exchanges, they acquire knowledge that goes beyond the curriculum.
